Delhi students selected for NASA race

It's a first for Delhi and for India. Two teams of students have been selected from the Delhi College of Engineering to travel to the NASA Space Centre.

They're going to take part in the 15th annual moonbuggy race next week. This race simulates conditions on the moon and students participate in buggies designed by them.

The Delhi College of Engineering has produced not one but two successful entries for the annual race conducted by NASA. Fifty teams have been selected from across the world, and it is India's maiden entry.

The NASA competition will see the different entries racing to finish the journey, and professors are trying to keep their excited students grounded even as they head for the moon.

India is certainly going places! NDTV 24x7 brought this news to me. It is an excellent news channel for NRIs. This channel is available in the US through DirecTV.
